Ethylene is also a plant hormone. This hormone is naturally occurring. Apples and pears are main examples of foods that naturally use this while ripening. Ethylene gas is used commercially on bananas.
Detrivores are animals that feed on organic waste. They are also known as "bottom feeders". Worms are an example.
