Territorial behavior is when an animal protects its territory from other intruders. Buddy, my dog, is territorial of my house.
Xylem is a main component of wood plants like trees.It helps with structure, and transporting water and other nutrients. It is a system of tubes. It dies every year leaving a ring (rings tell how old the tree is).
Phloem is another main component of wood plants. The phloem runs throughout the whole wood plant and transports sugars and other molecules. They are always alive. Sap comes from the phloem.
Predation is the way of life of a predator who kills its prey for food. This is a snake I unexpectedly ran into.. Snakes prey on rats and other small animals.
Succession is the act of following in order. It happens in the formation of a new community. Everything happens in an order that best benefits it. An example is the growth of trees provides shade for the ecosystem and fertilizes the soil.
