Scavenger Hunt Post #6

K-Strategist is something that lives in a stable condition, has a life long expectancy, can reproduce more than once and is usually a larger organism. An example is a dog. Modeling in this pic is Maggie's dog Buddy!!

Territorial behavior is when an animal protects its own territory from others of their species. Maggie and Phebe are using their territorial behavior, guarding their stuff from a monster.

Pollen is the powdery mess that makes you sneeze. The mess is made up of microspores. They are usually shed from anthers. This flower is an example that contains pollen.

CAM Plants have an adaption for a dry climate and don't need much water. They are usually found in hot, dry, climates for example desserts. CAM stands for Crassulacean- Acid- Metabolism. An example of a CAM plant is a cactus.

Xylem is the primary component of tissue in wood plants. Xylems provide support and conduct water and nutrients up from the roots. This tree is an example because it contains xylem.
