Scavenger Hunt Post #2



             
       

                1. Fronds are large leafs that are divided up into many different parts.  The main example of a frond is a fern.











                2. Autotrophs are organisms that can create its own food source using complex organic compounds. These plants are all autotrophs since they all use the process of photosynthesis.




             




                3. The cuticle layer of a plant is a protective that covers the epidermis of the leaf. This is the plant cuticle of my coleus.



               4. My dog is an example of a K-Strategist. K-Strategist's usually produce small amounts of offspring and they take longer to mature.



                5. A Population is a group of organisms that are the same species that all live in the same geographical area.

  1. Nice, Tristan. YOur autotrophs are also CAM4 plants. Can anyone explain?!

  2. CAM4 plants do not require as much water as some other plant species. They can also thrive in hot temperatures. Cacti are great examples of CAM4 plants.
